An audiobook is two creative works. The author wrote something, then a narrator performed it. Those are not the same experience. A great narrator can make a good book unforgettable. A bad one can make a great book unlistenable.

Every pick on this site includes a narration note, a specific observation about the narrator's technique on that recording. Not a generic compliment. Something that tells you exactly what to expect and why it works.
